The incense mentioned here is absolutely not churchy, but rather subtly perceptible in the background, almost creating a sense of freshness. As with "Althair Parfums de Marly," the vanilla note kicks in very quickly and gives the fragrance that brilliant vanilla character; sweet, subtly velvety, and elegant, not too cloyingly sweet. Musk and ambroxan lighten the scent slightly and provide a certain freshness and airiness compared to Althair. Zumorod is much more intense than Althair and lasts a long time.
